When I right click on my gmail e-mail account and select 'Manage Local Subscriptions' dialog 'Local Subscriptions --Kmail' is being shown. After that, I select folders I wouldn't like to be shown in my mail tree for example labels 'Important' and 'All Mail', I click 'Unsubscribe' and then 'Ok'. This changes nothing, both 'Important' and 'Unsubscribe' labels are visible. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Right click on my e-mail account and select 'Manage Local Subscriptions' 2. Unsubscribe desired folder. 3. Click Ok Actual Results: Nothing became unsubscribed. No visual changes were made AFAICT. Expected Results: Folders selected to be unsubscribed should be unsubscribed. Kubuntu 16.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.5.5 Qt Version: 5.5.1 Kernel Version: 4.4.0-22-generic OS Type: 64-bit
Kubuntu 16.04 with backports. KDE Plasma Version: 5.6.4 KDE Framworks Version: 5.22.0 Qt Version: 5.5.1 Kernel Version: 4.6 User still cannot unsubscribe desired folder. Doesn't work not only with Gmail but with others too.
I am also seeing this issue on Fedora 24 (KMail 5.2.2 on KDE Framework 5.23.0) There is a duplicate of this issue reported in bug 362575. I don't see how to close that bug as a duplicate of this one, or link them together. As a workaround for both Outlook.com and Gmail.com, server side subscriptions function correctly. 4 of us have reported seeing this bug, but I don't see how to mark it as officially confirmed.
I remember that it worked in Kubuntu 15.10. I workarounded(it's not a verb isn't it?) this by unchecking 'Show in IMAP' option in Gmail settings. I hope someone will fix thix.
Doesn't work for me either with 16.08 with a non-google IMAP server.
