Description Rajinder Yadav 2016-05-04 01:13:30 UTC
When I type reset in the konsole, I expect the screen to get cleared. This does not happen, everything remain on the screen, however the cursor is moved to the home row. when you type it just types over exist text that was not cleared.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. type ls -l
2. type reset
3.

Actual Results:
screen not cleared

Expected Results:
screen should be cleared

reset works for me on my LInux boxes using bash/zsh. What OS and shell are you using?
Comment 2 Rajinder Yadav 2016-05-21 20:49:57 UTC
I am using Kubuntu 16.04 LTS

$ which $SHELL
/bin/bash

$ uname -a
Linux flow 4.4.0-22-generic #40-Ubuntu SMP Thu May 12 22:03:46 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Take a look, I type reset and then type random keys which you see on the top row!

Strange, I'm basically running the same as you. I'll see what differences there might be.

This issue still continues to exist for me, I did a fresh install of kubuntu 16.04.01

Any progress made on this, I did a fresh install (kubuntu 16.04.01) and I still see this problem, it's consistent, happens all this time.

This seems to be fixed (Konsole 16.12.1, Slackware 14.2).

But, Kubuntu 16.04.1 seems to not have updated yet, maybe backports can help?

$ apt-cache show plasma-desktop | grep Version
Version: 4:5.5.5-0ubuntu1
$ apt-cache show konsole | grep Version
Version: 4:15.12.3-0ubuntu1
