Is the "Show tooltip" checkbox checked in General -> Behavior tab? (from the Dolphin settings dialog)

Below, what is installed (baloo4 does not change anything)

Meanwhile I have the tooltips in dolphin5 (but not yet pdf previews)

baloo-kf5 install
baloo-utils install
baloo4 deinstall
kde-config-baloo-advanced install
libbaloocore4 install
libbaloofiles4 install
libbalooxapian4 install
libkf5baloo5 install
libkf5balooengine5 install
libkf5baloowidgets-bin install
libkf5baloowidgets5:amd64 install

Merci

I have kdegraphics-thumbnailers installed in Kubuntu 16.4 and in Kubuntu
16.4, but I can not activate the pdf previews :-/

But it is not tragic :-)

Well, I know this thread and I tried to create the proposed links :

sudo ln -s /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/plugins/* /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/plugins/

But still no pdf previews :o/
