When editing existing connection, after pressing OK the changes are not saved and confusing message appears in notifications

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open network connections applet
2. Open settings using right click
3. Choose connection and edit it
4. Hit OK (even when nothing changed)

Actual Results:  
Changes (if any) are not remembered, additionaly
connection.gateway-ping-timeout: cannot set property .... notification appears

Expected Results:  
Changes are saved without error.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to copy text from notification - see image in attached url.
