Whenever I launch krunner to start a program or open a file, it does not provide me with suggestions of potential programs or files as I type in the first place. However, as soon as I remove the just typed in letters and retype them again, I get suggestions immediately. My KDE version is Plasma 5.6.2 with KDE frameworks 5.21.0-1. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Hit Alt+F2 to open krunner 2. Start typing the name of a known program, file or whatever -> there are no suggestions appearing for possible candidates matching the text 3. Remove the just written text by hitting backspace until all text is deleted and type the same text again -> krunner presents possible candidates immediately Expected Results: Suggestions should show up immediately as I type anything into the text field. The same seems to happen in Kontact's auto-completion for email addresses. Here I also don't get any suggestions until I have deleted and re-entered any text.
Confirmed, I am currently working on a patch to make the logic for the suggestions reusable, in that case a simple function call will fix this bug.
