Description klwilcoxon 2016-04-27 22:02:42 UTC
Since upgrading today to 16.04 on Manjaro, everything works good except Title Clip text is poor quality (fuzzy, blocky) in the interface and in the rendered file.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. New file
2. Add Title Clip
3. Type text (shows fuzzy, blocky)
4. Save file and render to mp4

Actual Results:
5. Title text is fuzzy, blocky

Expected Results:
Clear professional looking text

Thanks for your report.
Can you please tell me which MLT version you have ? in a terminal:
melt -version

Also, can you attach here a simple .kdenlive project file containing only one title clip that shows this behavior.

If you can provide the information requested in comment #1, please add it.

I experience the same problem which is very sad - it doesn't make sense to render any video with titles because text in the final video looks like missing anti-aliasing.

MLT version is 6.2.0
Kdenlive version is 16.04.1

Steps to repro are the same. The only thing I noticed, the text looks good in the title tool, however the produced title clip is already shown not anti-aliased. I will attach examples shortly.

Interestingly, when I export the frame, it looks fine...

the same project rendered by mlt-0.9.8 shows no problem

Looks like some issue on mlt side is causing the problem. Can you guys investigate with mlt devs?
