after some randome time of using kmail (sometimes 2 days, sometimes 2 month...) i can not close kmail anymore. i click on X or ctrl+q or alt+f4. the window closes but kmail still runs. now i have to kill it or i can not start it anymore. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. setup kmail 2. use it for some time Actual Results: it wont close anymore Expected Results: it should close itselt KMail 5.2.0 (but it was also with 5.1.x) KDE Frameworks 5.21.0 Qt 5.6.0
Created attachment 98652 [details] ~/.config/kmail2rc this is the kmail2rc that "enables" the bug for me. to solve it for some time i always do rm ~/.config/kmail2rc it i move this rc file back to ~/.config/kmail2rc the bug appears again.
still happens with Version 5.2.1 also i found this: https://mail.kde.org/pipermail/kdepim-users/2016-April/000135.html wich is the exact problem
maybe i need to make this more clear: after a fresh install (or deletion of kmail config files) i can close kmail like it should be. everything works. now i configure kmail again (look into the kmailrc). and i still can close kmail. after this itll take sometimes a few days, sometimes a few weeks of usage (of course with shutdown in between(every night to be exact)) but in the end its not possible to close kmail anymore. the window will close down but when you look to your processmanager its still running and you cans open another instance of kmail. the only way is to "killall kmail"
