Description Mark Diekhans 2016-04-27 02:07:43 UTC
Mac laptop with 257.46 GB used take lots of hours (maybe 8-10 hours) to index

Disk Inventory X takes a few minutes.

Filelight display is much more useful, however the slowness makes it not usable.

Reproducible: Always

Hallo Mark,
thanks for the report. It is now almost 2 years old. Have you tried lately if Filelight is still slow on your computer?

It is significantly faster not, taking about 15 minutes to index ~2.5m files

However, commercial product DaisyDisk takes less than 5 minutes.

So, while it would be nice to be competitive with the commercial alternatives, it is usable
