Description Kamil M 2016-04-26 08:48:21 UTC
I tried to install chromium in discover, I saw it in best rating apps but when I typed 'chromium' muon didn't find it. Additionally when I clicked on the chromium icon in best rating apps list, 'Event calendar' popped out.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.turn muon on
2. type chromium in search box
3.

Actual Results:
Chromium is not found

Expected Results:
Chromium is found

Can you please check if "appstreamcli search chromium" bears results?
Comment 2 Rune 2016-05-01 17:12:51 UTC
I have the same problem, and can confirm that appstreamcli search chromium returns 2 entries: Chromium Browser and Chromium B.S.U.

I'm having this problem too. I can search whatever program I want but the search function would not work, the strange thing is that if you start erasing the characters when there are 2/3 remaining it will display a list of programs that match this letters.

Example:
type gparted -> nothing is shown; (*)
erase the characters and keep only "gp" or "g", a list of programs will be shown; (**)
output of appstreamcli search gparted:
Identifier: gparted.desktop [desktop]
Name: GParted
Summary: Create, reorganize, and delete partitions
Package: gparted
Homepage: http://gparted.org
Icon: gparted_gparted.png
----

Note that if you type "g" or "gp" nothing is shown too. (***)
