Description rodrigo.orph 2016-04-23 16:33:14 UTC
I have a large kate session, with over 800 files open, all toolbars enabled.
Everytime i restart kate it opens on a window which height is larger than my desktop resolution. If i maximize kate the footer and tools like search and replace are below where I can see.

I can't resize it, it simply won't work. I first tought it was a window manager issue, but if I disable kate's toolbar for TABS, the issue is gone.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have a lot of files open on a kate session
2. All toolbars enabled
3. Window height should be the maximum allowed by the desktop
4. Restart kate and load the large session

Actual Results:
1. Window height will be greater than desktop's
2. You can't make it smaller
3. Side effect is that search / replace footer toolbar on kate becomes very small

Expected Results:
Allow resizing.

Desktop resoultion is 3840 x 1080
KDE5
Majority of the files on the session are loaded thuru sftp, so it takes a while to fully load.

IMHO fixed by the rewrite of the Kate tabbing.
Should work with recent versions.
