Description H Rantala 2016-04-21 12:55:22 UTC
In a vertical panel Hard Disk Usage widget draws different partitions partly overlapping. When the Hard Disk Usage widget is placed in a vertical panel layout is OK, but after logout and login layout is incorrect. Also if the settings of the Hard Disk Usage widget is changed (e.g. removing monitoring of some partition) layout is corrected. The vertical panel is on the right side of the desktop.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place vertical panel on the right side. Place some monitoring widgets to the panel.
2. Place Hard Disk Usage widget to that panel.
3. Logout and login

Actual Results:
Overlapping text and bars in the widget.

Expected Results:
OK layout.

Yes, it does. Sometimes, although very rarely, layout is OK when logging in. Earlier CPU Load Monitor had also layout problem in the vertical panel, but has now been working OK for long. Related? https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=348680

This is happening to me as well and also when I am copying a lot of files from one disk to another the notification/progress panel shows one huge vertical line instead of the normal horizontal line

This is still happening. Is there something I can do to help to squish this?
Comment 6 H Rantala 2016-10-07 05:19:15 UTC
Still in 5.8.
Comment 7 H Rantala 2016-10-16 09:34:06 UTC
Now after several logins the layout has been OK. Most probably after Frameworks 5.27.0 update. Thanks for fixing this!
Comment 8 H Rantala 2017-02-06 12:19:06 UTC
This reappeared, I would say after Qt 5.7.1 to 5.8.0 upgrade.
Comment 9 H Rantala 2017-05-24 05:13:22 UTC
This is still happening.
Comment 10 H Rantala 2017-06-02 19:39:40 UTC
Still in 5.10.

Still happening. I don't know if this helps, but for some reason every time I logged in plasmashell crashed and was restarted and after that the layout of Hard Disk Usage was ok. I recreated all plasma related config files and now plasma does not crash, but layout is incorrect again.

Still happening in Arch Linux with Plasma 5.11.2 and freshly installed Kubuntu 17.10 with Plasma 5.10.5.
Comment 13 H Rantala 2017-12-29 10:03:42 UTC
Layout has been OK for several logins now, I'd say after Qt 5.10.0 and Framework 5.41.0 upgrade.
