Description Andreas K. Huettel 2016-04-20 16:47:37 UTC
Have an Intuos 4, worked fine until the upgrade from KDE4.

I packaged wacomtablet-3.0.0_beta1 (I'm in the gentoo kde team), the tabletfinder recognizes the tablet OK, but the KCM always shows "no tablet connected".

Please advise how to debug further. Feel free to ping me on IRC (dilfridge). TIA!

Reproducible: Always

workaround to force-disable xcb-input usage

Seems like the problem comes from the new xcb-input code. If I hard-disable it, the tablet is recognized fine (see attachment for workaround).

Hmm. The workaround works on releng3.0 head, seems like something changed since 3.0.0beta1.

Turns out this was only of limited success, since now
* the tablet is displayed in the KCM, and e.g. the mapping to screen can be configured
* but while the cursor moves, no clicks or touches arrive at all :(

I have tested with PTK-640 (00B9), seems to detect & work fine

wacomtablet-9999::kde on Gentoo (device detection really shouldn't differ from 3.0.0)
libxcb-1.13
kernel 4.16.7
xf86-input-wacom-0.36.0

This bug is two years old, so I'll close it. If this is somehow still relevant and problem still persists with recent libxcb, feel free to comment and reopen the bug.
