When migrating old Kdenlive Projects created with 0.9.6 (document version 0.88) to the release candidate for 16.04 (document version 0.94), there are white overlays on the output whenever the Levels effect is used. After some investigation, I have found out that this can be fixed easily by two find/replace operations in the .kdenlive project file: Old entry: <property name="Channel">3</property> To be replaced with: <property name="Channel">0.3</property> Old entry: <property name="Histogram position">3</property> To be replaced with: <property name="Histogram position">0.3</property> Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Take 0.9.6 File with Levels effect 2. Open in 16.03.90 Actual Results: White overlay on clips with Levels effect. Expected Results: No white overlay. Tested on latest Ubuntu PPA version.
Chris, can you please test with recent Kdenlive 16.04.2 or current beta? Is the bug still present or has it been fixed? If it has been fixed, can you please be so kind as to close this bug report. Otherwise, please also report back, so that the dev's are aware of this issue. Thank you very much for your cooperation!
We could give a deadline till 16.08.2 for a response otherwise close as unmaintained.
Haven't seen a fix for this, so I left this report untouched.
