The kcrash report obtained.

Version 0.9.8 on KDE Development Platform 4.14.2
I just experienced several, seemingly random, crashes trying to open files or remove audio effects (gain). Files are on a usb drive, but that didn't make problems the last weeks.

Due to constrained developer resources, only the current stable Kdenlive version (currently 16.04.2, soon 16.08.0) and current beta/git master versions are supported.
