Without a keystroke to transfer back and forth between the editor and the built-in console I might as well use <Alt+Tab> and another konsole. -- Phlip

AGREEED!!! Suggestion: The settings->show filesel/filelist stuff is not working correctly. We make it do that and adds a "windows" menu somewhere allowing to focus any side view. you can have such a keystroke in current kate cvs, but it is not saved in the config on kate exit :/ such a bug is reassigned to kmdi, will close this wish
