I have noticed that even with default KDE font - Noto - fonts rendering in kickoff menu (default menu) and shutdown/reboot/logout screens is pretty bad. In dolphin for example everything looks fine, of course I have tested with same fonts and same size of fonts. I will attach few screenshots. I am on Kubuntu 15.10 with plasma 5.5.5 but I have tested fonts rendering with plasma 5.4/5.6/5.6.92(?) on KDE Neon as well.

xrdb -query | grep Xft

and include that
