Description Keziolio 2016-04-03 13:38:31 UTC
I have 3 fullhd monitors, when I rotated the right one in portrait mode, yakuake stopped working, if I click the key I bound to it nothing happens. The process is still there but it gives no signs of life.

If, on a terminal, i kill the yakuake process and start it again, it works just fine, but if i start the system with it it doesn't.

In gnome it works as usual, this problem is present with plasma desktop.

It was working just fine with all the monitors in landscape.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Rotate a monitor in portrait
2. Restart and try to open yakuake

Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
It should work without the need to killing it and restarting it every time

Set the plasma panel(s) to allow being covered by windows. Seeing some other bugs, this will probably fix it... Eg https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361342 and https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361551

If it does - the problem is in Plasma and perhaps Qt 5.5, hopefully fixed in plasma 5.7.

Yes it fixes it, in fact, I reported one of the bugs you linked

So i think this bug report can be closed. I hope it will be fixed soon.

Thanks

let me see if I can close it as 'resolved invalid', that seems most fair - the problem isn't in Yakuake at all.
