I am using a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet and is fond of using both the pen and eraser tips in doing my work. But there are times that when I make a mistake, I wil flip the pen to use the eraser tip and correct the mistake - and it instead paints as if I was using the pen tip, and with the eraser tool at the palette selected to boot. It may be related to the switch-to-normal-mode feature as noted in this bug report: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=360881 I do not actually mind the problem that much since I can simply go Ctrl+Z and then simply re-select the eraser tool using the eraser tip and move on, but others might find the issue annoying. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select a color at color selector using the pen tip. 2. Draw something. 3. Switch to the eraser tip and try erasing. 4. At times it will erase, at times it will act as a basic circle-shaped tip tool and paint. Actual Results: Using the pen's eraser tip becomes some sort of a basic tip painter - with the eraser tool selected. Expected Results: The pen's eraser tip should stay as an eraser, or whatever you have configured the eraser tip to be.
Hi, kirrin.artemicia! Could you please check if this bug is still reproducible in the latest builds of Krita 3.0 Beta? I think I have fixed this bug in March-April this year. You can find the links to the latest builds on our Kickstarter page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/krita/krita-2016-lets-make-text-and-vector-art-awesome
Good afternoon. I have tried replicating the bug issue on the 3.0 final release and I am happy to report that I have not encountered the bug again. I am encountering brush lags at the moment, but it is a different case. So for now, the issue's resolved. Thank you for the reply :)
Thanks for checking back!
I am using an XP-Pen Artist 12 with the latest driver and I am having the same problem as the person from 5 years ago. My pen does not properly switch to an eraser within the Krita program even though I have switched it to the eraser side
