Description MBM 2016-03-28 16:44:20 UTC
When I open the filter menu with Ctrl + U and instead of pressing "OK" after making my changes, press anywhere else on the canvas (with my tablets stylus) the menu box disappears, a crossed out circle appears instead of my cursor, its impossible then to save the file, pressing Ctrl + U again crashes the program

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open the filter menu via Ctrl + U
2.Pressing outside the menu box (with a tablet stylus!)
3.

Actual Results:
The software enters a weird state of being unresponsive, a lot of functions stop working, unsavable

Expected Results:
nothing, the changes should apply normally or the menu box should not disappear

when done this with a mouse nothing happens, only occurs when done with a stylus,
Tablet - Wacom intous manga (6.3.15 -2)

The only way to save your work after this bug is to force the software to enter a "not responding" state by pressing Ctrl + U again, since it creates an autosave when closed in this state

Hi,

Thanks for your report. I cannot quite reproduce the issue: I see that the cursor changes to the crossed out circle, which is wrong, but I can still paint and access other tools. With Krita 3.0 pre-alpha, I do not get the crossed-out cursor anymore, and everything seems to work. Could you check with the latest build from files.kde.org/krita/3/windows?

Hi thanks for your reply, I've been using Krita 2.9 for a while now, do you
suggest using the pre-alpha build instead?

Yes, please check whether the bug still occurs with the pre-alpha. It doesn't replace your existing installation, it's just a zip file you unpack. See https://krita.org/item/3-0-pre-alpha-3-is-out/

I've check the latest build (krita3-dev2-bcd977e-8065d4f) and while the bug
seems to be absent here in the way it used to be in 2.9 I've discovered
that when: I draw a few lines, Ctrl + U, apply a few random changes, click
on the canvas instead of the OK button - and repeat, this causes the
program to crash after 3-4 loops of this. (Seems to crash faster when using
a mouse) (2500x3000 150ppi canvas)

Also noticed that the "tool option" box doesn't work when placed in the
toolbar instead of the docker.

I cannot reproduce this on 3.0 I tried almost 10-20 times.

How ever i feel that the filter shouldn't get applied unless the user clicks ok.

Okay, but this has nothing to do with the original report which can be closed.
