Description katy.leduc 2016-03-27 21:23:01 UTC
I don't get the directing lines when using the assistants, making it very hard to use as I have no clue as to where my lines will be drawn.
What's more, when using assistants, I get some noise gosts brush strokes all over my page even when my tablet pen doesn't touch the tablet and is just hovering over it.
System is Windows 7 64 bits.

Your opengl is turned off, you need to turn it on via settings->configure Krita->display for the assistant previews to work properly.

I do a lot of perspective work, but my tablet PC doesn't support OpenGL in Krita, so I would love to see this fixed. The guide positions are calculated correctly inside of the brush outline (cursor image), though it leaves a large mess around the screen when the cursor is moved (as if a somewhat bigger brush is painting the screen with little broken bits of perspective line). When dragging the scroll bar, the guide lines are calculated correctly across the screen, but they stop updating the moment you let go of the slider. This shows that the lines *can* be drawn correctly without OpenGL, though I don't know how much work it would be to actually fix it.

Thank you for your time and keep up the good work!

The latest dev builds (check the bleeding edge download section) support OpenGL 2.1 again.
