If I connect an external display and I close the laptop's lid the system is going to sleep even if the option "Even when an external monitor is connected" is unchecked in the Power Management settings. I changed "When laptop lid is closed" to "Do nothing" to check if KDE's power management is inhibiting systemd's power management and it worked as expected. My current display configuration is http://i.imgur.com/tsVgEU1.png Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set the system to not enter sleep mode in Power Management when an external monitor is connected 2. Close the laptop's lid Actual Results: The system is going to sleep Expected Results: The system should not go to sleep
Does battery monitor show "your computer is configured not to suspend when closing the lid because an external monitor is connected" ?
No, it doesn't
I'm experiencing the same bug. The "Even when an external monitor is connected" option is unchecked but the system goes to sleep when closing the lid anyway.
I just had the same, I plugged in HDMI and PowerDevil wouldn't notice (didn't show the hint about how it won't suspend now), I'll have a look, thanks.
