Description T 2016-03-25 10:58:56 UTC
If you go to Tools click spelling, nothing happens. If you then click on tools, change database, you see it is set to USA English. You change it to UK English, the spelling then works.
Annoyingly, you have to do this for every text file.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a document in UK
2. open Tools spelling
3. nothing happens
4. change spelling database it then "works" ie spelling happens

Actual Results:
no spelling on default set up in UK

Expected Results:
spelling should occur when you click spelling

Please try the KF5 version. If that still fails there, please report problem to frameworks-sonnet. For me that works on archlinux, but that might be distribution related.

The KDE 4 version is no longer maintained. Please try the KDE 5 based version and report back to use. Meanwhile, close as Resolved-unmaintained. Sorry, but we don't have enough man-power to maintain old versions as well...
