Description pgundlupetvenkatesh 2016-03-22 09:11:06 UTC
OS: MS Windows 8.1 x64
KDE Framework: 5.18.0
Qt: 5.5.1

KDevelop application menu options like Session, File and Window does not work when user switches from normal mode to full screen mode and switching back to normal mode seems impossible.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Kdevelop application, press 'ctrl+shift+F' key or navigate to Settings menu and click Full Screen Mode.
2. Try using any of the menu options like, Session, Project, Run, Navigation, Tools and Help and so on...

Error: Menu options become inactive and its concerned sub-menu options won't be displayed.
Note: The only way to switch to normal mode is to close and reopen the application.

Actual Results:
Menu options become inactive and its concerned sub-menu options won't be displayed.

Expected Results:
Sub-menu options should be displayed and all those options should work as intended.

Screen-Shot evidence and Debug-View logs have been attached for analysis.

Hm. Can't confirm, this works fine for me. I wonder if it's related to Windows 8. /me is using Windows 7.

Which version of KDevelop is this? The one from my installer? Does pressing 'Ctrl+Shift+F' for exiting the full screen mode work for you?

KDevelop version: 4.90.90
OS: MS Windows 8.1 x64

I got it from where you had sent me the link through email. This is where I got the installer from "http://krf.kollide.net/files/work/kdevelop/?C=M;O=D". Now it has 5.0.0 version.

Yeah, it will exit only when I do it without clicking on menu options. Here's how to reproduce it.
1. Open KDevelop, press ctrl+shift+F keys.
    Result: On full screen mode.
2. Press ctrl+shift+F.
    Result: Back to normal mode.
3. Again press ctrl+shift+F, click either of the menu options like session, tools etc. Now go for ctrl+shift+F.

Error: Won't switch back to normal mode.
