Description zatherz 2016-03-19 13:17:21 UTC
It's not possible to set the screen scaling to less than 100%. The slider starts at 1 (100%).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open System Settings
2. Go to "Display and Monitor"
3. Click on "Scale Display" in the "Display Configuration" section

Actual Results:
The slider doesn't go below 1 (100%)

Expected Results:
The slider should let you scale below 100%

Why?

I think this is mostly visual in nature since it's (reading from your reddit post OP) more about making the widget parts smaller. You should in my opinion pick a slimmer widget theme (check out the different Qtcurve themes available) and make your fonts smaller.

Enforcing a downwards resize seems like a hassle in comparison to the gain when workarounds are available.

Please explain why you think this is required. What is the use case this is going to solve?
