Description gyges 2016-03-15 07:04:49 UTC
At the desktop containment Ctrl+C won't copy the item to the clipboard, and Ctrl+X won't cut the item and copy it to the clipboard.
However, copying or cutting items by mouse will work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Show desktop.
2. Select item to copy or cut.
3. Press Ctrl+C / Ctrl+X

Actual Results:
The clipboard won't be populated with copied/cut item, hence no pasting either.

Expected Results:
The clipboard would be populated with copied/cut item, so that pasting is possible.

you mean Folderview containment, cut/copy/paste files?
Comment 2 gyges 2016-03-15 10:47:05 UTC
Exactly, folderview containment.
Comment 3 Eike Hein 2016-03-16 08:14:37 UTC
Can't reproduce - works fine for me on master. Anyone else see the problem?

Alright, tried with Plasma 5.4.2 on Kubuntu in a VM and it worked like a charm.
Maybe this is a distro-specific issue (Netrunner Rolling in my case).
I will try to get more information in the Netrunner forum.

Now, with Plasma updated to 5.6.1 this issue is somehow solved on Netrunner Rolling.
Copy / cut & paste by keyboard from the folderview containment works again.

I'm still having the problem on Kubuntu 16.04 with Plasma 5.5.5.
Comment 7 Daniel 2016-07-21 20:42:58 UTC
This issue is only in a fresh install of Kubuntu 16.04 but works if upgraded from 15.10 -> 16.04

Perhaps someone may explain which files in .config are used so we could diff them?

This issue seems to be solved since 5.6.1 at least.
Checked with Plasma 5.13.5 on Manjaro, no regression.
So my humble proposition would be to change status to resolved.
