Description twoaloes 2016-03-14 13:14:11 UTC
Hi.

When I trying to import png or jpg, Krita keep saying "Couldn't create the filter plugin."
I don't know since when, but it never happened before last weekend.

This is terminal output.

Hi,

Thank you for your report. I'm afraid though that this must be a local installation issue. How exactly did you install Krita?
Comment 2 twoaloes 2016-03-15 11:17:33 UTC
Followed instruction from Krita website. I'm using LM 17, so there was nothing unusual.

I was upgrade GIMP to fix some issue. After that pointless effort, suddenly Krita refuse to show me png and jpg files.

Maybe I should unistall and install Krita again.

sounds like the gimp upgrade installed new versions of libpng and libjpeg that broke krita.

Thanks for the tip. If same issue occur then I'll check out libpng and libjpeg.

I reinstalled everything. Krita, GIMP, even LM. Now I'm using LM 17.3.
It's not an ideal solution, but it solve the problem anyway.
