I Installed KDE Neon on Kubuntu 15.10 When you log in, all SystemTray Icons missing. and no "up" arrow to see more. After I "Edit System Tray Settings" and modify and save values repeatedly, the system tray reappares. Some QT apps like QBittorrent doesn't have an icon in the tray anymore Also, System try icons for GTK Apps are not clickable or interactive in any way. And they seem to be slightly overlapped by other icons around them Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Log into KDE from SDDM 2. Wait for desktop to load Expected Results: System Tray icons should load. GTK App icons should be interactive (click or right-click). NVIDIA 670MX GTX with proprietary drivers ASUS ROG laptop
One more thing to add Every time i close an app that affects the System Tray, the whole right side of the taskbar after the system tray (time, show desktop button, addon settings menu button when unlocked) goes blank then reappears.
Created attachment 97881 [details] GTK icons in systray Look at the 2nd Pidgin icon. For some reason, skype icon unaffected. Oddly enough. RIght after i submitted the ticket, i got the next update and QBittorrent is now showing its icon in the tray. so.. just GTK and xembedsniproxy icons reacting weird,
UPDATES FROM LAST VERSION I PULLED TODAY: neon-desktop: 4+git20160311.1605+15.10 plasma-desktop: 4:5.5.4+git20160314.1001+15.10-0 plasma-widgets-addons: 4:5.5.4+git20160311.0122+15.10-0 The issue with the system tray being blank on login is no longer a problem (for me anyways) it loads up immediately. There is no problem with the redraw issue either. The system tray no longer goes blank interaction. ISSUE REMAINING: GTK Icons still not interactive and display smaller than the rest and slightly overlapped by icons around them.
Hi Guys, I figured out the problem. After the kde neon update, it seems some issues in the "Breeze Light" theme are causing the problems i was reporting. I switched my theme by chance and everything is working
