If the name of the file just opened with Kate contains underscores, then it is displayed without the symbols in the list of recently opened files. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Kate. 2. Create a file and save it as "list_pwd_123", for instance. 3. Close the tab leaving Kate running. 4. Have a look at File → Open Recent list. Actual Results: The file is displayed as listpwd123 [%directory%/listpwd123] Expected Results: The file is displayed as list_pwd_123 [%directory%/list_pwd_123] 1. My Kate version is 3.13.3 (the most recent one by now for my Ubuntu 14.04); it uses KDE 4.13.3. Don't know why but the version is not listed above. 2. Maybe, the bug is related to #229817.

The problem persists. I've got the latest version for my distribution, i.e., 4:4.13.3-0ubuntu0.1. Could you please attach a screenshot that shows file names with underscores among the Recent Files in Kate?

Now, after several Kate updates, the bug is not there anymore.
