It would be great if an option existed to use Template Titles as Chapter markers in .mp4 and .mkv files (and if possible, any other container format which supports chapters).  The template title text would be used as the Chapter marker text and the Chapter mark would automatically be placed at the beginning of the Template Title.

While it would be wonderful if this functionality could be completely integrated into Kdenlive, as an interim step, it would great if Kdenlive could generate the chapter files used by mkvmerge (part of the mkvtoolnix package) or MP4Box.  That way it would be fairly straightforward to incorporate the titles outside of Kdenlive (until the functionality was built in).

If this can't be easily implemented using Template Titles, then a next-best-thing would be to implement it using Guides, similar to how you're currently using Guides to mark chapters in the DVD wizard.

Having this feature would greatly decrease the time necessary to create a video file with chapter markers.  Today I have to:  1) Determine the starting frame of each Template Title, 2) Hand-create a chapter file for the desired video format, 3) Render the video file in Kdenlive, and finally 4) Run the necessary program to add the chapter marks to the video file.  This feature would automate almost all of that process.
