Description Elric T 2016-03-09 05:09:15 UTC
After a fresh restart
i opened the app and pressed check for updates.
The message Could not download packages appears afterwards. Details shows only the text "Details"(which is strange enough).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open muon
2. click check for updates
3. message appears

Actual Results:
"Could not download packages" message and details window shows only the text "details".

Expected Results:
checks for updates and downloades the list etc

ok, this is not a solution but... if you enlarge the error message window you should be able to see the details.

I did type up some detailed notes, explaining how I tested this, but when I added the screenshot Bugs.kde.org chuck them all away. Not typing em again

I think your issues could be related to broken sources, or packages within apt. This link might help

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AptGet/Howto

The screenshot shows what you should expect to see, which I got when I replicated your steps.
Comment 4 Carlo Vanini 2016-05-12 14:01:54 UTC
Rick, what happens if you click on the "Detail" button?
It happened to me that the dialog box didn't resize automatically, and the new content wasn't visible (but you can resize the dialog by hand). I tracked this down to KMessageBox but couldn't really understand what was going on there.
