Description Ondřej Kučera 2016-03-05 16:02:34 UTC
After going online for the first time since starting Plasma, the KDE wallet dialog appears asking for my password. This is expected. What is unexpected is that there actually appear two of these dialogs at the same time (see screenshot 1). What's even worse, after entering the password to the first one, another wallet dialog asking for my password appears (this time it seams that it's the one of KDE 4's wallet, see screenshot 2). This means I have to unlock the wallet three times.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use KDE wallet to store Telepathy passwords.
2. Reboot and login to start a new Plasma session.
3. Go online.

Actual Results:
I'm asked for the wallet password three times.

Expected Results:
Ideally, I'm asked just once. Bud I do understand that until there are no KDE4 applications anymore (and so no reason for KDE4 wallet to exist), I might be asked twice.

Version: 15.12.2

Thanks for the report, this actually looks like a problem with KWallet itself.

The "KDE Wallet Migration Agent" belongs to it and KTp cannot influence
if that shows up or not.

That said, I noticed this behavior as well recently.

Same for me on my arch linux.

Thank you for reporting this bug in KDE software. As it has been a while since this issue was reported, can we please ask you to see if you can reproduce the issue with a recent software version?

If you can reproduce the issue, please change the status to "CONFIRMED" when replying. Thank you!

Honestly, I've forgotten about this. On my current machine, I'm not even sure I have anything in the wallet, so I can't be sure how it behaves. From where I stand, this can be closed (and if it's still happening, it can be reported again by someone who's still having the problem).
