Installed 'Application-Dashboard Widget' next to System Tray (between system tray and clock in standard default arrangement) as a trial run. I later wanted to move/remove it and make it the default launcher, but KDE doesn't seem to recognize the widget. I'm only able to select the system tray (which "grey's over" the Application-Dashboard Widget" or the clock. Unfortunately KDE doesn't allow me to take a screen shot while customizing the panel. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Application-Dashboard Widget next to System Tray (or anywhere?) 2. Attempt to move or remove. Actual Results: Unable to select widget. Expected Results: Ability to select widget. Latest KDE installed from backports onto Kubuntu Wily. Love KDE. Looking forward to NEON.
you can set ksnapshot to take a full screen screenshot with a delay of some seconds, then open the panel configuration mode and the screenshot will be taken correctly
I've seen something similar recently where I accidentally dropped a file into my panel and the widget was there but I failed to remove it as there were other widgest ontop of it; seems the panel layouting gets confused at times.
I gave up trying to remove the widget. After several restarts during the normal course of usage and updates, the issue magically resolved itself. I could suddenly highlight and move the widget. I'm at a loss for an explanation. In the meantime, I'm loving Plasma5.
