Description Unknown 2016-02-26 17:45:34 UTC
Just a small convenience, but there's no option to disable the toolip for Pager when the mouse hovers over one of the desktops.

Would be a nice option. :)

Reproducible: Always

Suggested while using Antergos Linux x64, KDE Plasma 5.5.4.

Can you explain in more detail why you would want to disable the tooltips?
Comment 2 Unknown 2016-02-29 16:08:05 UTC
@Kai Uwe Broulik:

(1) Becaue all of the other widgets on the panel have this option, and it would seem appropriate that Pager would follow suit. (I assume it'd be an easy feature to implement.)
(2) It'd be a customization option for users that just don't want to see the tooltip when hovering their mouse over the panel widgets. (This is the case for me. Just preference.)
(3) Privacy -- some users may simply not want their windows on a certain virtual desktop showed for when someone may be walking by or someone looking over their shoulder at something.

Being that I've replied, I'm changing the status back to "UNCONFIRMED", for dev' consideration.

> Becaue all of the other widgets on the panel have this option

It's just the Task Manager, and it has it because it also provides huge thumbnails you might want to be able to turn off; I do that.

Kai Uwe Broulik, definitely, and I do that as well. However, that doesn't negate the other two reasons why I think an option to enable/disable tooltips for pager would be a reasonable inclusion.

So, I'd still like this to be considered for implementation.

May I go as far as to propose the question: why NOT have the option in there?
Comment 7 Kai Uwe Broulik 2016-03-10 12:34:51 UTC
> why NOT have the option in there?

This is not KDE 3, we don't add options just for the heck of it...
Comment 8 Thomas Pfeiffer 2016-03-10 12:44:10 UTC
There is an option to turn off all Plasma tooltips, it looks like this would solve your problem (since tooltips on the panel are your #1 reason for wanting this option.

We might need to make that option more prominent, though.
Comment 9 Unknown 2016-03-10 17:34:47 UTC
@Kai Uwer Broulik, fair enough sir. :)

@Thomas Pfeiffer, if that option could be made more, like you said, prominent, somehow, that'd be much appreciated!
Comment 10 Kai Uwe Broulik 2016-06-17 08:28:29 UTC
There's an option in System Settings → Workspace Behavior → Workspace to turn tooltips off. There's not going to be an individual option for the pager, sorry.
