Description Heiko Tietze 2016-02-26 16:56:16 UTC
The error "Unable to fetch item from backend (collection -1) : Unable to retrieve item from resource: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken." is shown in the status bar. It happens on synchronizing the Google trash folder. The really awkward is that KMail silently stops working (except from the status bar info) until I restart per "akonadictl restart" (without any error). It helps when I cleanup the trash but it's not a solution.
My suggestion is to a) fix the bug and b) show a plasma notification on error that prevent KMail from receiving emails.

Reproducible: Always

KMail 5.1.2
akonadictl -v: "Akonadi 5.1.51"
plasmashell -v: "plasmashell 5.5.4"

Same here on Archlinux also and with a gmail account. So I have three gmail accounts and onlyone is unable to retrieve mails. I don't understand why just one of them doesn't work correctly.

In the debug tab this two lines appear thousand of time
akonadi_imap_resource_0 (0x7f046c022a00) 56160 { Response: "CreateItem" Error Code: "0" Error Msg: "" }
akonadi_imap_resource_0 (0x7f046c022a00) 56161 { Command: "CreateItem" Merge mode: "(Remote ID, Silent)" Collection: "UID 127" MimeType: "message/rfc822" GID: "" Remote ID: "1036" Remote Revision: "" Size: "0" Time: "QDateTime( Qt::TimeSpec(LocalTime))" Tags: "Invalid scope" Added Tags: "Invalid scope" Removed Tags: "Invalid scope" Flags: "QSet(\SEEN, $SENT)" Added Flags: "QSet()" Removed Flags: "QSet()" Attributes: { } Parts: "QSet()" }
