Hi there, there is a hotkey for grouping clips. However, with kdenlive set to automatically splitting out audio I end up dealing a lot more with clips that are already groups that I want to un-group. 

In Inkscape the group function has the hotkey: "Ctrl" + "G", and un-group is "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "G"
Something like that will be a great time-saver, and not too difficult or disruptive to implement.
