(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kpilot ------ This bug is forwarded from the Debian BTS as it was filed on a Debian package. The original bug report can be seen at http://bugs.debian.org/113617. As far as I know it is not a duplicate of any existing bug. If it is I will pick this up and merge within the next 12 hours; Otherwise please merge yourself. Thankyou Daniel Stone <daniel@sfarc.net> the "other" Debian KDE maintainer. ------ With devfs the tts/{01} character devices are created only when the visor is in sync-mode. After it finishes the devices are unlinked from the fs and any programs that don't close their old filehandles and look for new files (like kpilot) are never able to sync. The daemon is watching a file that is deleted so syncs fail. - chad
Thank you for your bug report. The feature that you requested has been implemented in the latest development (CVS) version of KDE. The feature request will be closed. [CVS-HEAD supports the USB Visor and even the m500 (with pilot-link 0.10.1pre) but it isn't usable for much more than Backup and Restore -- the conduits are still missing.]
