Description Jon Schneider 2016-02-13 12:29:55 UTC
I am running Kate (version 15.08.2) in Ubuntu 15.10 on a laptop (System76 Lemur). Whenever I plug in or unplug my external monitor (through the HDMI port), Kate segfaults and crashes.

Here is a log of what happens when I start kate up from a terminal and then plug in my monitor. Let me know if there's any other information I can provide that would be useful.

jon@jon-s76:~$ kate
Attempted to re-run an already running session.

That is a known problem of Qt, unfixable for us :/

https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-42985

It should/could be fixed nowadays.
