Description Anthony Fieroni 2016-02-09 05:50:36 UTC
Don't show white on white svg

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. System tray settings
2. General (audio volume and networks)
3. Entries

Actual Results:
Since in config dialog are white on white, in task manager are dark on dark.

Expected Results:
Dark on white in config, white on dark in taksmanager.
I clear words:
In config dialog must depend on application style (mine breeze)
in taskmanager must depend on plasma theme (mine breeze dark)

solved in
cf0906fdae6cf256bf747cac2e7569d1cf3b9f6a in plasma-desktop

the icons are taken from the normal theme, so if icons in the dialog are still wrong is a breeze-icons problem

The icon was from the icon theme yes, but it shows the applet ich which is used for alternative and widget explorer. Here the widet icon should be shown.

no, that's actually the applet icon, the pulseaudio applet uses
Icon=org.kde.plasma.volume

that's actually the preview

similar thing for the networkmanager one
Comment 7 Marco Martin 2016-05-04 12:00:25 UTC
so probably pulseaudio and networkamanger plasmoids should have an icon more generic, like audio-volume-high and network-connect in their metadata desktop file (which is independent from the preview in the widget explorer)

Hello, I would add another flavor to this bug:

Currently, on black theme I get white NetworManager: Correct.
Currently, on white theme I get black NetworManager: Correct.

In my case, I use black panel(and KDE then uses white icons).
The problem is when I use NetworkManager to connect to a VPN - When I connect to a VPN the icon switches to a black icon on my black panel, making it 'invisible'.

2 small images are attached showing the 'issue'.

Hello, plase ignore this report as this seems related to my distro only as with Breeze and Oxygen the problem is not present.

Andreas, are you sure the problem mentioned in comment #11 and the problem of the original reporter is the same? From reading comment #0, the reporter uses Breeze theme.
