Description Fabian Rost 2016-02-08 21:44:03 UTC
I tried to pair connect my Motorola Moto E and my Kubuntu 15.10 via KDE-connect. However, I cannot discover any device in the device list (not on my phone and not in the configuration of kdeconnect on my Kubuntu machine). Both devices are in my home Wifi. I also set up a shared WiFi connection on my Kubuntu machine and connected the phone to this WiFi. The issue was the same. I have the current app from the Play Store installed and I have this PPA included in my sources: https://code.launchpad.net/~vikoadi/+archive/ubuntu/

Reproducible: Always

Android Version: 5.1
KDE Connect (Android) version: 0.9g
KDE Connect (KDE) version: 0.9
KDE version: 5.5.6
OS: Kubuntu 16.04

For what it's worth, I am experiencing this problem always when our home router assigns link-local IPs (fe80::) to one or both of the paired devices. With public IPv6's, connectable devices usually recognize each other.

Can you check if you still have this issue?
Comment 3 Fabian Rost 2018-01-17 09:36:55 UTC
Sorry, I do not have the devices to test this anymore.
