in placements accounts , it's possible to define the number of decimals for the amount of an action : this is ok . but not for the number of parts ( on some cases like FCPE the number of parts can be with up to 4 décimals). So, if i have, for example, 46.7376 parts of Linux actions rated 20,57€ each , i have a total amount of 46.776 x 20.57 = 962,18232€ but kmymoney round linux parts to 46,78€ and the result is false : 962.26€ Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open a placement account 2. edit a buying opération 3. in parts : 46.776 4. in value :20,57 5.valid Expected Results: the good result must be : 962,18€ and not 962.26€
This error makes the investment function completely unusable by creating errors in all lines!
Please check https://docs.kde.org/stable4/en/extragear-office/kmymoney/details.investments.securities.html and search for the term fraction. Make sure to have this value set to cover the precision of your investment. If you need 4 decimals, set this value to 10000. Does that make a difference?
you are right ! I'm sorry because this is not a bug! that night, I thought the same thing, and this morning I changed the actions division parameter and now it's work fine the problem is with the documentation, because we do not make the link between the stock split and the fact that the value in kmymoney will be rounded .A the future, if we could better clarify this point it would be good thanks
Closing as per comment #2. IMO documentation excellently explains precision of investments.
