Description law 2001-12-08 03:44:38 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kdesktop
Version: unknown (using KDE 2.2.1 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.14
OS/Compiler notes:

It appears KDE2 introduced a bug such
that it makes netscape not be able to find itself on the desktop (something about
svroot from the Netscape documentation).

One can uncheck 'run programs in the
console window' as a workaround for
this bug but that then disables the desktop menu.

These are features that work together
on most desktops I've used -- even the
low-life 'windows'... We at least have to
be better than them! :-)

thanks

Hi!

This can't work with X. Ask netscape to fix their crap.

Greetings Stephan
