I have two displays: smaller on left (secondary; external) and larger on right (primary; laptop). TaskBar resides in right (primary) display on right side (see "taskbar__should.png"). After I upgraded Plasma from 5.4 to 5.5 very often after restart TaskBar self moves to left (secondary) screen (see "taskbar__bad.png"). Further restart doenst fix "taskbar reset", I must manually move it. Reproducible: Always
Created attachment 96780 [details] taskbar in right position
Created attachment 96781 [details] taskbar in "self reset" position
I freshly installed Kubuntu 16.04. Taskbar again jumped to another screen and changed his size after few reboots.
I think that this bug is related to #363512.
I upgraded to Kubuntu 16.10 (plasma v5.7.5, frameworks v5.26.0, qt v5.6.1). Now taskabar resets its position every time when I log-on in to KDE.
I also experience a Bug #353975. It has workaround: after log-in you must execute "kquitapp5 plasmashell && kstart5 plasmashell". Mentioned workaround work well as workaround for this bug.
Thanks for the report Valdas. I've just tested this on the latest Plasma/Kwin from git master and cannot reproduce the issue. Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved, thanks.
Now I have a different dual view setup: I cannot reproduce the problem.
Thanks for the update Valdas. I'll close this bug report as nobody else has reported the same issue. If the issue returns don't hesitate to open a new bug report.
