Description sedrubal 2016-01-21 18:17:41 UTC
Every time a connection can not established because of any fails, a passphrase input window appears instead of an error message.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect to a network which produces a fail (e.g. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1300793 or when the network does not support the given 802.1X authentication method or what ever)
2. wait...
3. wait...

Actual Results:
A dialogue box appears to enter "A password" which makes no sense... e.g. for 802.1X with TTLS it should better ask for username and password

Expected Results:
Bat actually an error message should appear somewhere

I'll append a low quality video

Of course entering a password here does not establish a connection to the network....

I don't think there is a way how to fix this. NM will not ask for missing or wrong username as you cannot tell what authentication method should be used and whether username was wrong.
