In KDE 4, there were options to forget recent documents without forgetting recent applications, and vice versa. Please bring those separate options back. I don't mind the forget all option, but I generally prefer only forgetting some of history instead of all of it.
Yes, I also want this option too. Preferably, I would like to have just an option so that kickoff could not show recent documents at all. You don't want your girlfriend to see that you watched some "pics" of other girls. :)
You can create a new activity and enable "Private mode", then it shouldn't track opened documents there.
I will check that. I never used activities before, I didn't need it. But I'd prefer this preference to be available in menu or at least option from KDE4 to delete recent documents from menu.
I'd really appreciate separate options for saving latest documents and latest applications, too. In my case it's most sensible to track documents, as i often work on several files over some time. Separating the history-settings would leave me with my most important apps sorted under "Favorites" and my actually most important documents in the history. Right now i have to scroll down the list of applications in this tab, before i can reach the files. Cleaning up this mess would radically improve the navigation within the application launcher and therefore the overall workflow.
Re-assigning to Kicker as that's responsible for the backend providing these options
Looks like thsi bug is no longer relevant - currently there is ability to forget recent applications and documents separately in right click menu.
