Description Sudhir Khanger 2016-01-17 05:47:56 UTC
A global keyboard shortcut for Application Dashboard would be very useful. In my current layout I have a top panel with Active Window Control widget and system tray. I mostly rely on keyboard shortcut to manipulate windows. AppDash has to be added to panel to be usable. I don't see a lot of use of it if I am not going to use the widget.

It would be very useful if AppDash can be triggered like KRunner. I think a lot of folks already use Alt+F1 for AppDash's keyboard shortcut.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
AppDash doesn't work unless added as a widget.

Expected Results:
Let AppDash be triggered without a widget solely using a keyboard shortcut like Alt+F1.

Another side effect of shipping AppDash without a shortcut is that it is not identified as a primary launcher and hence can't be triggered with meta only key.
