Description Tom Mittelstädt 2016-01-16 12:45:13 UTC
From time to time it is neccessary to order files by their creation date.
Currently it is only possible to display and order by the modification date.

Reproducible: Always

I have the same wish. Some applications set the Modified attribute to a custom value and then only the Created attribute helps to find out when the file was actually created.

There are three different date related file attributes which all would make sense to make them available as columns:
- Created
- Modified
- Accessed

I checked current file managers to see which of them are supported there:
- <Application>: <Attribute> (<Name of column>)
- Dolphin: Modified ("Date")
- Krusader: Modified ("Modified")
- Nautilus: Modified ("Modified") and Accessed ("Accessed")

The next and easiest action could be to rename the "Date" column to something more specific.
