Description Sam Muirhead 2016-01-11 17:03:29 UTC
I'm reworking and tidying up an old project, and have deleted many of the old clips were in the timeline. What was an 11min timeline is now a 4min timeline. However, now when I 'Go to Project End' or 'Zoom to Fit Window', the timeline still shows the Project End at 11min. I have saved and reopened a few times, with the same effect.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
With the old clips removed from the timeline, Zoom to Fit Window should be updated an only show me the 4min-long timeline.

Yes, there is a small problem in the project file.
Tracks 10 and 11 (2nd and 3rd from the top) have a series of "blank spaces" at the end of the track. This does not cause any problem except the mentioned project length issue.

You can easily solve it by adding any clip at the end of these 2 tracks and deleting these clips.

I have no idea how this happened, but if you have been working with placeholder clips, and converting from an old project that might be related. If you ever manage to understand how to reproduce, let me know and I will check.

Thanks- I will experiment with a fresh project and see if I can reproduce it!

Sam, is this bug still present with the recent stable 16.04.2? If not, can you please be so kind as to close this bug report? Thank you very much for your cooperation!

I had a similar issue, albeit in my case a preview rendering zone caused this instead of blank, which was totally off by 10 minutes. In my case, removing this unwanted the preview rendering zone solved my issue.
