I'd noticed that when I open Kdenlive and start a new project, the default track that's highlight is Audio 2, so when I select a piece from a clip and press V to insert it, it goes into Audio 2. Just for better user-friendliness out of the box, might I suggest changing the default highlighted track upon opening the program to Video 3 instead? Reproducible: Always Tested while running Kdenlvie 15.13.0 on Arch Linux x64 w/ GNOME 3.18.
EDIT: The reason for the suggestion would be that - I imagine - most users are going to begin working with video before audio. Statistically, it would make more sense to have a video track highlighted as default, preferably one that would act as a "starting point" for a new project.
