instead of traditional 10 pieces wide game.... 
I'd like it to be customizable.
be able to run 30 wide or even 150 wide game

I'm willing to help, but I dont know much about KDE development.
would that be easy enough to do ?

I agree that being able to customize KBlocks would be awesome. And it's great that you are willing to contribute.

Unfortunately, the width of the board is "hard-coded" in the theme svg files. Thus, changing the board size is not a trivial change. But if you are willing to give it a shot, I'd be glad to help you getting started.
