Description George 2016-01-07 21:58:05 UTC
I have an OpenVPN connection to my work place. The name resolution, however, does not work correctly because the additional DNS servers of our group are not searched (so far probably a misconfiguration at my work place).

However, adding them into the field "Other DNS Servers" in the IPv4 tab does not resolve the issue either. These IPs do not appear in the resolv.conf or anywhere else.

Note: I can access those DNS servers just fine using 'nslookup - <ip-address>'.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure OpenVPN via applet (works).
2. Add DNS server IPs to "IPv4/Other DNS Servers"
3. Boom - nothing: 'other DNS servers' are not searched.

I'm an idiot and really sorry for the noise.

Of course, I have to fill out the field "Search Domain", too.

Works as expected.
